What is a merge tune?
A merge tune takes our race/dyno-developed SBR baseline and blends it into a fresh read of your ECU. You keep everything specific to your car, your VIN, and your hardware, while getting our fueling, spark, and calibration work layered on top. The result is a tune that’s built on our proven numbers but native to your vehicle.
How it works
- Order the merge tune download and choose your combination: camshaft, intake, and fuel type.

Read your stock file. Using your HP Tuners MPVI interface and VCM Suite, save a read of your ECU as an
.hptfile. - Email us your read along with your HP Tuners interface serial number. Your tune gets locked to your interface and your VIN, so it only writes to your car.
- We merge and send it back. We drop our SBR baseline into your file and email you the finished tune, ready to flash, typically within 24–48 business hours of receiving your read and serial number.
That’s it. You flash it yourself, right in your shop.
What you’ll need
- An HP Tuners MPVI2, MPVI3, or MPVI4 interface
- VCM Suite installed (free from HP Tuners)
- Your interface serial number (found on the device and under Help → About in VCM Suite or on the back of your interface)
