Ported and bored 60mm 2.2L Ecotec stock appearing throttle body

A professionally ported and bored 60mm throttle body for the 2.2L Ecotec — one of the most effective bolt-on airflow upgrades available for the platform. The larger bore improves airflow into the intake manifold, delivering gains of up to 7 horsepower throughout the torque curve, with the most noticeable improvement in throttle response and mid-range power right off the corner.

Why This Works

The stock Ecotec throttle body is a restriction point at higher RPM and throttle loads. Boring it out to 60mm opens up that restriction and lets the engine breathe more freely, which translates directly to better throttle response and more usable power throughout the pull. Paired with an SBR Performance ECU tune, the gains are even more pronounced — the tune can be dialed in specifically around the increased airflow for maximum benefit.

Stock Appearing

Unlike bolt-on replacement throttle bodies, this is your stock Ecotec unit professionally machined to 60mm. It retains the factory mounting, OEM fitment, and a stock appearance under the hood — ideal for stock-appearing race classes where aftermarket throttle bodies aren't permitted.

What's NOT Included

This throttle body does not include a throttle position sensor (TPS) or idle air control (IAC) motor. You will reuse your existing sensors from your stock unit — they transfer directly.
