A ported and bored 60mm throttle body for the 2.2L Ecotec. The larger bore improves airflow into the intake manifold and is worth up to 7 horsepower through the torque curve, with the most noticeable gain in throttle response and mid-range power right off the corner.
Why This Works
The stock Ecotec throttle body is a restriction point at higher RPM and throttle loads. Boring it out to 60mm opens up that restriction and lets the engine breathe more freely, which translates directly to better throttle response and more usable power throughout the pull. Paired with an SBR Performance ECU tune the gains are larger, because the tune can be built around the increased airflow instead of working around it.
Stock Appearing
Unlike bolt-on replacement throttle bodies, this is a stock Ecotec unit machined to 60mm. It retains the factory mounting, OEM fitment, and a stock appearance under the hood. Ideal for stock-appearing race classes where aftermarket throttle bodies are not permitted.
What Is Not Included
This throttle body does not include a throttle position sensor (TPS) or idle air control (IAC) motor. You will reuse your existing sensors from your stock unit. They transfer directly.

Your core needs to be a complete, machinable stock Ecotec throttle body. If your core arrives damaged, incomplete, or is not the correct unit, we will contact you before moving forward. If you change your mind after ordering and would rather keep your core, just reach out and we will invoice you for the difference so we can ship right away.
